Taking care of your jewelry:
For Gold Filled jewelry:
I use sudsy ammonia or other all purpose cleaners such
as Mr. Clean. Wash, rinse and dry.
Sterling Silver can be cleaned in several ways.
1. Soap and water for everyday cleaning. Don't be afraid to wear your silver in the shower.
It's good for it!
2. Silver cleaner readily available in stores like Walmart and K-Mart. Follow the directions
on the container.
3. Line a pan with aluminum foil add a few tsps. each of baking soda and salt.
Boil enough water to cover the jewelry. Pour water into the pan and add jewelry
making sure the pieces do not touch each other. Let soak until the tarnish is gone.
Time will depend on the amount of tarnish. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
4. Use of a silver cleaning cloth. If you have many Silver pieces a cloth is a good investment.
It's a quick way to give it a real sparkle. Great to use after any of the cleaning methods above.
